Rethink Creative is a boutique brand strategy and design studio that works with mission-minded businesses and nonprofits. We are looking to hire a skilled WordPress Developer to design and implement attractive and functional websites for our clients. You will be responsible for both back-end and front-end development including the implementation of WordPress themes and plugins as well as site integration and security updates. To ensure success as a WordPress Developer, you should have in-depth knowledge of front-end programming languages, a good eye for aesthetics, and strong content management skills. Ultimately, a top-class WordPress Developer can create attractive, user-friendly websites that perfectly meet the design and functionality specifications of the client.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • You will meet with clients to discuss website design, requirements & function
  • You will design and build the website front-end & create the website architecture working closely with the Creative Director
  • You will design and manage the website back-end including database and server integration
  • You will generate WordPress themes and plugins and conduct website performance tests and troubleshooting content issues
  • You will join project manager to conduct WordPress training with the client 
  • You will travel on occasion for client meetings, workshops, company retreats, celebrations and conferences
  • You will be responsible for working independently or on assignments as part of a team with minimal supervision while remaining highly collaborative


APPLY IF YOU: 


  • Have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a similar field
  • Have 3+ years proven work experience as a WordPress Developer
  • Have knowledge of front-end technologies including CSS3, JavaScript, HTML5, AngularJS, CSS3 Canvas, react and jQuery
  • Have great experience with responsive web design and understanding of webpage loading performance techniques along with development and debugging tool
  • Have knowledge of code versioning tools including Git, Mercurial, and SVN
  • Have experience working with debugging tools such as Chrome Inspector and Firebug
  • Have a good understanding of website architecture and aesthetics
  • Are able to project manage, stick to deadlines and use good communication skills
  • Have strong client-side programming skills
